Integrated dish washer query and leaking inlet valve

by gentryman » Mon Jan 30, 2023 2:10 pm

Hi,
I have a leaking cold water inlet valve which connects to the cold water pipe.
The other end goes to an integrated dishwasher.

There doesn’t appear to be any “give” on the valve whereby I can pull down to pick the washer out and try to replace, should there be?.

If needed do integrated dishwashers slide out which would allow me to replace the whole hose?.
I cannot see any brackets on the side or top holding the washer in place, just the integrated kitchen door fixed to it.
What makes it hard connecting the valve is I have to sort of push the main water fitting up slightly to get the valve underneath, which then does not sit correct with the thread.

Thanks for any information.

Hi gentryman,
Suggest you shorten the vertical main pipe or fit an angled isolating valve so the hose is not so bent.
The dishwasher will probably be fixed in place by screws in the door closing recess, you may have to remove plugs to get at them.
