Repairing garden swing - wood/guidance

by makingalife » Mon Feb 20, 2023 12:47 pm

Dear all,

Gardener here, can do basic bits and bobs around the house...

How do I go about repairing the roof of this swing?
What wood should I use? Also, is it worth me investing in a nail gun?

Not sure if screwing down will be a good idea...

Thanks

Hi,

Green treated softwood is probably best, C16 grade will be sufficient.

If you're not to keen on the natural appearance of the timer you can stain it with some Osmo oil, bit of a price option but good stuff!

If you've got the cash to spare a nail gun is always a good to have, not essential though.
