Reasonable costs for plastering and new floor in bathroom?

by NDU » Thu Mar 09, 2023 9:05 pm

Hi. I have been having my bathroom replaced and after removing all the old stuff, the fitters said I needed whole new chipboard flooring and 3 walls plaster boarding at a cost of over £1000 + VAT. This seems incredibly high, what does everyone think? Bathroom is roughly 2m square with walls 2.4m high. Thank you.

Hi ndu,
Assuming they will be removing and disposing of the old floor and will be using moisture resistant plasterboard with a full skim coat of plaster the cost is about right.

I wouldn't say this is cheap, but I certainly wouldn't say it is incredibly expensive.

If I were you I would get a couple of quotes to see how it measures up.
