low pressure taps after new tap installed

by dave.elford1 » Wed Apr 05, 2023 3:54 pm

i have a new kitchen tap put in. but hot water very slow i have been told that i need 0.2 bar pressure taps or lower but i have also been told that ideally i need a 15mm flexipipe with a 12mm bore size or a 15mm flexi copper pipe but would these fit a new kitchen tap as they all seem to say standard fit and look a small diameter and even smaller bore size.my original tap was 20yrs + and had 15mm copper pipes soldered to the water pipes does anyone know if this can be done

Hi Dave.elford1,
Before you get into changing feed pipes have a look at the spec of the new tap, a claim of works “with low pressure” is not enough it has to be extra low pressure.
If the tap is ok you may be able to find 15mm copper feed pipes to screw direct into the tap - they are necked down so they can fit around the bolt and fixing plate.
