Electric Shower + Shut Off Valve to Stop Dripping

by DIYguyNorthWales » Fri Apr 21, 2023 10:50 am

I've just moved into a house with a bathroom that's going to be renovated in the next couple of months. There's an existing Mira Sport electric shower with a dripping head, likely down to a solenoid that may be hard to replace. As a medium term solution, could I use a shut off valve between the shower head and hose or would it affect pressure further back in the system and lead to more problems?

Hi diyguynorthwales,
You would have to fit the valve directly onto the shower unit itself - where the hose is currently screwed on.
