Condensation inside loft cold water tank insulation

by Craig_VC » Sun Apr 23, 2023 8:29 am

Hi All

Recently re-insulated the cold water tank in my loft and I've noticed the top layer of insulation has condensation on the underside of it. Is this an issue? I appreciate that it's above water, there's no lid to the tank, but wasn't sure if this might cause issues like mold over time?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi craig_vc,
Your tank should have an impervious, reasonably air tight ridged lid on it. You’ll still get condensation even if you insulate the lid.
