My garage is separated from my neighbour's by a breeze block wall built in the 1980s. The neighbour has applied for planning permission to demolish his garage. The breeze block wall will remain as the external wall of mine. Are breeze blocks suitable for exposure to the elements or will I have to get it rendered or some other treatment? I am not bothered about the appearance because I will not see it.

Hi suzysue,
You could have it rendered but a more reliable way to weatherproof it would be to tile hang the face, possibly using synthetic slates.
