Hi Greengrass,
Your proposed arrangement will work but will be intrusive and possibly a nuisance.
I suggest you do something along the lines of this image. The tie bar could be a length of studding buried below ground level, nuts and plates either end and an anchor pad on your end. If you use square plate washers the anchor pad could just be a lump of concrete cast in situ.
