Preparing brick work for plasterboard

Post by Wildmohican » Wed May 10, 2023 8:09 pm

Hi all, hopefully this is the right forum for my query. I need to dot and dab the brick walls in my bathroom to fix plasterboard before tiling however, after removing all the old loose plaster the window frame needs preparing to make good. Edges aren’t straight for example. Has anyone got any guidance on how I can make this window area good and flat and point all the edges of the internal rectangle edges?
Tiling will only go to the bottom of the window sill so I was thinking render the brick work in the window space and plaster for painting over but keen to get thoughts. Cheers

Hi wildmohican,
Hack off the existing plaster then dry line using celotex backed plasterboard. Use tile on boards for areas like the shower.
