Hi all, new to the site and hoping I'm posting in the right place.
I have a short stone wall between my property and the neighbour's which has a somewhat large tree within a couple of feet. Today the neighbour noticed our tree roots have grown under the wall, lifting it and cracking it along the cement joints. I am looking for advice on the best way to handle this as I've not worked with stone or cement before.
Am I right in thinking that the best solution would be to somehow dismantle the end of the wall by cracking the cement joints, cutting and removing the offending roots and rebuilding the wall using the existing stone and new cement?
Here is a short video of the issue: https://youtube.com/shorts/eRYuQ4jpNm8?feature=share
Thanks!
