My parents had a cowboy builder replace the pitched roof on their property, but during these works the cowboy builders team also managed to damage their corrugated polycarbonate conservatory roof by dropping heavy roof tiles from a great height onto the conservatory roof.

The corrugated polycarbonate roof is made up of 5 overlapping sheets and its the sheet laid second (of the direction of prevailing wind) which has a big hole in it.

Can the second sheet be easily removed and replaced? Or does all 5 roofing sheets need to be removed and replaced? The current roof is 20 years old so the roofing sheets will have expanded and contracted, so I'm not confident they will all overlap again if they need to be removed to get to the second sheet and replace it with a new one. Would any manufacturers warranties be invalidated if the replacement for the second sheet doesnt do the job of being water tight, because the original sheets remain instead of also being replaced?

Hi pandalion,
If you remove the fixing screws from the damaged sheet you should be able to slide this out. Your problem will be matching the overall size and the profile. If you can leave the roof without the sheet in place, cut a strip off the old sheet and hawk this around suppliers.

Thank you! Unfortunately I can't do the replacement myself so I checked with a roofing company who have said it would not be possible to replace one panel due to the age and condition of the roof as a whole, they wouldn't be able to make it water tight. I was hoping it would be possible to replace one panel but perhaps not.
