Toilet fix for back to back toilets

by pd2001 » Thu Aug 31, 2023 8:21 am

I have two bathrooms that back onto each other. When I flush a toilet from one it will push some of that water into the other and vice versa.

The property is 20 years old.

I tried to remove one of the toilets from its waste pipe (which has an offset pan connector in between) and water was coming out of the waste pipe continually so I had to reconnect it.

I think that maybe the angle of the waste pipe inside the wall is flat and thus holding water. I'm assuming this is not correct.

Also the waste pipe coming out the wall to the toilet looks like it's angled downwards and then the pan connector is angled upwards - should this be the case?

I think i'm going to need to open up the wall to get to the waste pipe inside.

Any ideas?

Hi pd2001,
The pan connection looks to be ok, sorry to say that you will have to open the wall as you have suggested.
