Replacement lock for garage door with no keys

Post by cliver » Fri Nov 10, 2023 5:21 pm

Hi all, Mother in law is shortly moving into a new bungalow. The garage door is a pretty standard up and over type as in the attached pictures. There are no keys for it so I want to replace the lock for her.
Ideally I would like to be able to open/close/lock/unlock from inside and outside. Does a replacement that allows inside and outside operation exist? Can anyone suggest a solution?
I did find this online
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01DYT4CCU/?coliid=I5FQ48L8PDCZT&colid=2JMLKYQY0KJPJ&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&tag=diynotcom-21
Would it fit our garage door?
Any advice appreciated.

Hi cliver,
Go to one of the garage door spares sites, they will be able to supply you a handle which is a direct replacement.
