Amazon light lose wire help

I bought this the other day and it has a lose wire, ground I think. Should it just be lose like that, shouldn't it be attached to something?

It is not connected to anything only at one end. The other end is, as you can see, connected to the metal of the fitting, so providing an earth. you should connect the other "loose end" to the earth wire that is supplying the light. As it is a wall light, the flex should not be that long, as it is meant to be connected to cables emanating from the wall for a dedicated wall light.

Send it back.
