Hi, I'm seeking help as I've had several quotes for solving a damp problem, but each company has different techniques. One company suggested that we need to put pipes through the concrete floor in the kitchen, which would be connected to air bricks, to allow air to flow through to the sub-floor space under the wooden floor at the front of the house. Would this not compromise any damp proofing of the concrete? The house is a mid terrace of about 100 years old. They have also suggested putting gravel filled trenches along the walls at the front and back of the house to aid drainage, as they say the concrete level is above the damp course. Is this necessary? Please help as I feel completely confused. Ju
