Stair wall stringer fault

by Hauxy » Wed Jan 31, 2024 12:56 pm

Hello 👋
I have a problem with my wall stringer being narrow at the bottom and wide at the top, I want to panel the wall above it and hope there is a way to make it look more symmetrical and easier on the eye, any suggestions are welcome 🤗

Hi hauxy,
The stringer will be the same thickness all the way along its length. It may be that one end is buried deeper in the wall. Get the wall replastered so the stringer is buried evenly then fit you panelling.

Thanks for that, I did consider the plaster option but the bottom is 5mm, the top is 25mm, so a big difference all the way up. I was wondering if anything could be made to go over the top to even it out?
