Garage subsidence and garden work

by Awsometurtle » Sun Jan 28, 2024 6:03 pm

Hello, we have recently moved into a house with a good sized garden. At the back of the garden is a double garage that has suffered from subsidence in the past so we are keen to not upset this again. Next to the garage is a roughly 4m x 4m concrete patch that we would like to return to soil as a vegetable patch. Does anyone know if removing the concrete would do any harm to the garage. We don’t plan on any trees just a small vegetable patch.

Hi awesometurtle,
It is unlikely that removing the concrete patch will have any effect on the garage - provided the garage slab and your concrete patch are not one piece.
