Using a long SDS Plus chisel

by LetzDIY » Thu May 30, 2024 4:09 pm

I am considering using a 1m long SDS Plus chisel with my Einhell hammer to break area of concreted terrace. The concrete is quite brittle. I thought i would use such a long chisel to avoid hurting my back while also keeping my face further away from any chips that might fly out. My only slight concern is that the length of the chisel might make it more liable to snap. Is this a good idea or am I better of using something shorter?

Hi letzdiy,
You should be fine with the long chisel but depending on the thickness of the concrete breaking it up may be painfully slow. You may do better with a sledge hammer.
