Repairing loose glass cassette in composite door

by carbar » Wed Aug 14, 2024 11:01 am

Hello,

I have a composite front door and the trim around one of the glass cassettes has come unstuck and the glass cassette is loose. I was wondering if it was the purpose of the trim to keep the cassette secure? If so, can I just stick the trim back on and the cassette will be fine, or is there something else wrong that means that the cassette is loose?

Thanks,

Carl

Hi carbar,
No you should not leave it loose, secure it using silicone mastic and use this to refit the trim.
