replacing an old texecom faulty alarm panel...

by hs6666 » Wed Sep 18, 2024 6:57 am

Hi,

I'm replacing it with an old (but new and never used) accenta mini and a old (also new and never used) accenta+ non LCD keypad

Trouble is... connected the keypad to the unit and on power on all I'm getting is a quick flashing of the keypad followed by the keypad alarm continuously sounding

non of the keys do anything and non of the keypad LED's are lit

any ideas please?

PS what i've just noticed in the manual......

"NOTE: do not power on the panel for the first time without first confirming a keypad is connected to the panel"

I didn't do that when i powered up the panel temporarily to confirm it was working :(

I wonder if there is no going back now?

You seem to have answered your own question, if in doubt read the manual, preferably first.
