upgrading under cabinet lights

by am7 » Fri Oct 18, 2024 11:49 am

Hi

Looking for some help re wiring for under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. Hoping to upgrade from existing under cabinet tube lights to this LED panel lighting https://www.sycamoreled.com/Catalogue/K ... inet-Light.

Attached a photo of the existing wiring coming out from behind my cabinet and the wiring of the new lights. Is there any device to connect these? An electrician has confirmed previously that the existing supply is 12V.

Thanks for any advice!

So long as the existing power supply is the same voltage (12v) and it can supply the minimum current for the total number of new lights then yes it will work. To establish this, you will need to look at the power rating of the existing power supply.
