Replacing Light Fitting

by jamesxmx » Sun Oct 14, 2007 2:48 pm

Removed Ceiling rose as per instruction

New light has a 4 way terminal block with light wired to block as Live , Neutral, Earth , Spare.

There are 2 cables from ceiling , one the Mains , other is switch - both standard 3 core.

I wired the mains cable to the terminal block, matching Live , Neutral, Earth

When I wire the cable from switch on same matching , it blows fuse.

Advice would be apprecaited.

Thanks
James
