Laminate Flooring beading

by reid.stuart@ntlworld.com » Sat Mar 31, 2007 6:52 pm

I have a curved section of wall and have made a pretty neat job of laying the laminate up to the skirting. However, I can't find normal beading that goes round bends. The joiner that put on the skirting assured me that he used a length of MDF, wet it and gradually bent it round the curved wall. Would this principal work with other types of wood: thin (4-6 mm) stripwood or pine?
I can't think of another solution that would not look odd.

Its usual, if you cannot bend the beading Stuart, to cut it into shorter lengths with mitred joints to go round the bend. See our project on angles used in carpentry to cut the mitres.
