Installing outdoor cladding frame?

by Garden-rookie » Thu May 28, 2026 9:10 pm

Just need a bit of help, I am fitting some outdoor panels and will be building a wooden frame 3x2 timber against the concrete post. There's already wooden fences in between the posts so I will just leave them in.

The outdoor panels 2.4 height and 15cm width = 16 Panels = 2.4m by 2.4m but I will be installing them horizontally instead of vertically.

With the images provided alot of people who install them vertically do the supporting frame horizontally. My question is if I am installing them horizontally 2.4m width and 1.9m height = 6ft2ish, do I install the frame vertically? Any help much appreciated.

The boards you are going to fit will be horizontal. They will need fixings at every 30cm (or so) how can you ensure that there is something to fix to for every board?

If you were told the answer how would you learn?
