Finishing an outside tile edge to wall corner.

by wtr » Thu Aug 13, 2026 7:31 pm

Hello,

I am having an extension done by professionals, but i was offered the chance to save money by doing the plastering and painting myself.

I don't know how to finish up to the tiles in the shower. I thought the guy would use edging, but he hasn't.

When he did the floor and skirting he filled with a compound

However shower (white tiles) is different because there is an overhang as they wrap round the corner. Should i plaster up to this?

Thanks in advance,
Wes

Hi wtr,
If you haven’t sorted this yet I suggest you buy some stainless angle and fix this in place with bathroom silicone mastic. This will, protect the tiles and hide a horrible gap.
