BATHROOM LIGHT FITTING

HI,
I AM REPLACING LIGHT IN BATHROOM (THIS WAS A BEDROOM AND HAS A WALL LIGHT SWITCH AND A PULL CORD) I WOULD LIKE TO CONNECT TO THE PULL CORD ONLY AND DO AWAY WITH THE WALL SWITCH.
FROM THE CEILING I HAVE TWO THREE CORE CABLE BOTH HAVE TWO RED AND ONE BLACK ONLY ONE RED ON ONE OF THE CABLES IS LIVE. CAN YOU HELP TA!

don't get involved with the wiring at the ceiling,except to change fitting like for like with a suitable bathroom fitting.
go to wall switch and see what wiring is there, probably a twin & earth plus a three core and earth. if you have loft access above you can do one option if not, another, come back with more info please
