Wooden bed slats ...

by lomply » Thu Oct 18, 2007 9:13 pm

I'm embarrassed to ask but is there a secret to making these fit a bed stead? I've put together the bed stead and then tried to put the slats along but they wont fit either tightly or spaced out! Does the taped side go towards the floor also? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Hi. I’m being dense here, but I can’t quite visualise the problem. I guess I’m struggling with the “either tightly or spaced outâ€

Hi, I take it that the tape you refer to is the one that links the slats together and also fixes the spacing of them when positioned? If so this should go at the bottom (toward the floor)

If the bed is self-assembly, try loosening the fixings which may give you a bit of play on the width that allows you to position the slats, you can then tighten the fixings.

Hope this helps
Ken
