yes 20 amp jumction box and 1.5 mm2 flex ok ( I always use heat resistant flex ).
your neutrals ( black wires ) go together in 1 terminal on its own.
the blue of the flex which is light neutral goes with these blacks also.
you switch wire which is connected to the lamp flex terminal of the the old ceiling rose would be red or Black with a red tag.
this is connected to the brown wire light switch live into a separate
connection.
the remaining reds are permanent lives and are connected into a separate
terminal , of the joint box.
all your green wires , and green yellow of light would be connected
together in separate terminal.
i would have an electrician check your connections and wiring for verification of earthing, because your wiring sounds dated and might need
replacing.
