I'd like to extend my lighting circuit and becuase of limited access have eyed up a junction box under the stairs. This junction box is a standard lighting jobbie, in so much as it has the circuit going in and out (terminals 1 and 2) and has a light wire and then switch wire etc.
My question is can I add a spur to this to provide power to another set of lights. My thinking is that it would be just the same as cutting the circuit wire further along, adding another junction box, its just I can't do this becuase I can't get at that wire.
So, I'd have the existing junction box with a spur added to it, this spur would go into another junction box where I'd have just the lighting wire and switch wire connected.
I hope that makes sense. Any advice greatly appreciated as I just want to be safe :)
