We have lifted wood block flooring from hall and had it 'professionally' laid in the lounge. Problem is thatt when it was lacquered the surface bubbled. It was resanded and it bubbled again and was re-sanded. However it has now been over sanded and some areas gave had to be replaced. Other areas look OK but sound thin when tapped and we suspect they may break when furnture is put in. Is there anything we can do now or is starting again the only option? All advice welcome please.
The floor layer says it wil be fine but is not prepared to warrant the floor in any way and if we risk it we will have a problem to relay later as the skirting boards and boxing in of pipes will have been done by then making replacement of the floor impossible to do and get a good finish at the edges.
