cable in conservatory cavity?

by cueball » Fri Nov 02, 2007 8:02 pm

HI, I've almost completed erecting a conservatory and am unsure as to whether it is safe to run the cable to plug points through the cavity wall or should this be done under the plasterboard which i plan to dot/dab.
Any advice would be appreciated . Thanx.

Cables should not be run in cavity walls, although most electricians have done it at some point to avoid messing up decoration, myself included. If you are plastering anyway run the wires under the plaster boards. (keep the cables in zones, only running horizontally or vertically)
