Fitting a wardrobe light

by damian » Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:57 am

Hi.
I would like to fit a light in to a built in wardrobe so the light comes on when you open the wardrobe door and am wondering where to get the power from.
The easiest way I can see to do it would be to go up in to the loft and tap in to the upstairs lighting circuit with a 3 terminal junction box.
Is this the way to do it or do I need to get the power from elsewhere?

Thank you very much for your help.
Kindest regards,

Damian Taylor

that is one aceptable way as long as you identify the live looping cable and not a switch wire!!!
the other way might be to go into ceiling rose , find live wires in loop-in term and neutrals going to blue of flex and connect there
