Help!!

by si » Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:09 am

my house has been partially rewired about 90% has been completed, i have informed building regs etc

basically i need to get it finished very quickly how much would it cost to get the job finished and tested bearing in mind that I don’t want to get ripped off?

what would be a fair price?

Thanks

Finishing off then testing someone elses work? It probably won't cost a penny as you will find nobody willing to do it! Good luck anyway. You will need it.

Hi Si, I think your biggest problem will be to get anyone to take it on at this late stage, although you have informed bldg control & presumably paid their fees for a visual inspection of wiring routes ect. whoever takes the job over will be signing off on work they haven't done, not allowed under regs. to issue completion cert. for anothers work.
How long do you feel it would take to finish, @ £200/man/day plus materials plus tests, registering costs ect?
