Integrated appliance doors

by master bodger » Sun Apr 01, 2007 2:00 pm

I need to replace doors on a integrated frige and an integrated freezer (one on top of the other) I dont know how to take the existing doors off.
The existing mechanism seems to allow the cabinet doors and the fridge/freezer doors to move independantly of each other.
Are the existing cabinet doors fixed to the carcase via a hinge and plate or are they part of the sliding mechanism? the bottom line is how do get the existing doors off!

Do the doors have little plastic covers around the edges of the doors? If so, removing them might reveal brackets that connect the outer door to the fridge/freezer door. Makes such as Neff/Siemens/Bosch have a bracket on the top which you fit to the outer door. This is then attached to the appliance door and has levelling screws for sdjustment. These again are normally covered with a plastic trim. Hope this helps.
