hi, new to forum. can anyone explain to me how to do a polarity test on home lighting please including any diagrammes thx

hi nottinghamforest08,
it involves main swicth in off all fuses out and mcbs and rcds in off position. (safe isolation)
live and earth bridged at CU, so all the circuit are included.
Then test between live and earth terminals at each lighting point in circuit. More info on TLC website electricians guide including diagrams, may explain it better than I.
