From Jan 08 anyone working with mains water needs to pass the test and carry the card.

I know it’s a waste of time, but we all know what a hard time plumbers have been getting in press for the last 10 years and this could help boost public confidents.

There are min requirements for the test, if you don’t have a NVQ 2 cert you can’t it.

ive got water regs ive not been informed of anything new mind you i do have three weeks of mail to get thru many thanks

Basically it’s the old water companies approved contractors scheme, but they are now saying it’s a “legal requirementâ€
