We've been gutting our kitchen and getting ready for he new one to go in.
Whilst gutting hte old one we ripped off the wall all the old tiles.
All have come off quite well with minimal plaster damage but the adhesive used to put the tiles on is another matter altogether... It's tough!!
Tried sanding down but it's too much and too hard.
Tried chipping it off but whilst some bits come off easily, others pull off the plaster.
We were hoping to paint over the area where the biggest section of this adhesive is but are struggling to get a surface smooth enough to paint on without the obvious bumps.
Is there an 'easy' way of getting this adhesive off?
If not, what would be the other options? Retiling over the old adhesive?
Thanks.
