Tiles - what is the best tile for floor Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

I am trying to organize to break the concreted cement floor of the entire house (top layer only) and fix floor tiles onto this floor after resurfacing with a thin layer of cement. Which tile is best - Ceramic or Porcelain ? and why it is best .?
