foundation problem

by b7evan » Thu Dec 06, 2007 4:55 pm

Hi guys, I have had the brick layer in laying the foundation block for my two story extension and what i have noticed is, the ground slopes quite a bit to the side of my extension so now the block is showing out of the ground. I can backfill to the block level but there is a very narrow space between block and fence, the brick layer has surgested to just slab down the side of the block using 450x450 slabs and the backfill what i can. Will i have a problem with building control?

Cheers

Brian

Bricklayer sounds like a bit of a clown. There is no way foundation work should show above ground if the job is planned properly. No worries about building control they are unlikely to penalise you for something which will not affect the integrity of the building but there is no need for it.
