How to prevent white tile grout going grey, brown or mouldy

by Rob_M » Sat Dec 08, 2007 9:01 am

I am just about to tile a new shower area, but our choice of tiles is being restricted as we are only looking at larger tiles in order to minimise the amount of grouting, since in our previous bathroom the grouting in the shower area went very dirty looking (grey/brown).
Is there any way you can 'seal' the grout to prevent this? We are looking at using Travertine tiles and understand that these need to be sealed?

thank you for any advice.

Hi you can use a grout seal on them, you will need to first clean any discoloured grout then apply this solution.
