candy washing machine drain pump stuck on

by j9c » Wed Dec 12, 2007 11:38 am

Hi,
Can anyone help, I have a Candy CN146 washine machine and when I switch it on the drain pump comes on, it then goes through the cycle and at the end the pump stays on until the machine is switched off. It has been happening for a while and eventually the pump packed up alltogether (overheated because there was no water to pump I guess?) so I have replaced it but the initial fault is still there.

Thanks

Hi seeing as you have replaced the pump I would suggest the control module/program timer is faulty and is not switching off the pump also I presume whn you changed the pump you cleaned the filter to check for foreign objects there is a company called uk whitegoods on the net which specialise in appliances they have some great experts and they can source parts at very reasonable prices hope this helps
