plumbing for shower enclosure

by sally » Fri Apr 13, 2007 4:40 pm

sorry to sound a little stupid here - we're in the process of fitting a shower enclosure and the instructions tell you to fix the tray in place, and then check to make sure there arent any leaks with the plumbing underneath the floor boards - how are you supposed to do this when the tray has to be permanently fixed to the floor boards, dirctly under the tray itself - once the tray is down thats it - its down for good - can anyone help at all !!

Many plumbers put the tray on a stand 4 inches high Sally, this stand then has skirting board around it, or similar (tiles) . The stand allows the room for a connection to the underside of the tray and obviously also allows you to check it. If you have no stand then you must rely on a good connection in the first place or remove floorboards to check.
