hanging a standard timber garden gate

by ruchew » Sun Sep 16, 2007 10:23 pm

:) im about to hang a gate for the 1st time. the garden is fenced with an iron gate, the gate is bolted directly too the brickwork. after i've took the gate off i was gonna fix a 3/4 inch thick batton to the brickwork too hang the gate off. i dont want too fix anythin thicker e.g 3 x 3 post because openin is narrow. once i have done this can you give me a basic guide to what too do next, do's and donts etc... dont want to make a mountin out of a mole hill when in should only take an hour or so!!!!
