Cutting laminate thats already laid

by garyk » Sat Dec 29, 2007 8:43 pm

Hi,

I have laminate flooring that goes from the hallway into a sitting room. I want to leave the laminate in the hall but take it up in the sitting room. Can I just cut the laminate across the doorway and take the laminate up? If so what is the best tool for the job?

Cheers

Gary

yes you can do that . when i had that same problem i used a 1/4 inch router and straight edge to cut most of it and the bits the router could not get into i finished with a saw and a sharp chisel then put a new threshold bar down.If you do not have a router you could do it by hand with a floor board saw just takes longer
