Hot Water fron an Aga

by Thomos » Sun Dec 30, 2007 11:04 pm

We currently heat our hot water from our aga (just moved into new house so first time with an aga) via a cylinder. We have been having a problem with the hot water, firstly the expansion tank overflowing constantly, which I have fixed by extending the expansion pipe. I also bled the radiator that is connected to the aga. We now only get one bath out of the cylinder, even though the aga is on constantly (takes all night to heat up) . it appears that the cylinder (36") is not being fully heated. It seems to take an age to heat up the cylinder. Cylinder is about 2-3 years old.

Furthermore could we disconnect the hot water from the aga and remove our central heating boiler and fit a combi.

Any help would be much appreciated.
