I am in the process of fitting a new bathroom suite and want to place an electric shower over the bath. I would like some advice on the following:

Is it safe and allowable to take a T-spur off the rising cold water mains feed that goes to the storage tank in the loft, so that I can feed an electric shower?

If I were to use a pumped electric shower can I take a T-spur off the cold water feed to the cold water bath tap? Or should I run a new pipe directly from the storage tank in the loft to feed the pumped shower unit?

You can indeed "T" off the rising main for an electric shower, but remember the electrical side to be legal must be made by a qualified sparky.

A mixer shower including a pumped shower must have direct feeds from the header tank and hot water cylinder. You cannot "T" off anywhere along the pipes.
