Is it just the shower that's only warm or all the taps ?

could it be that the thermostat was turned down when the boiler was serviced ?

Has it anything to do with the gas service ? or just a coincidence ?

is the shower a mixer shower or electric ?

thanks for your quick response. It is a gas combi so I am presuming that is how the shower water is heated, there is no control box on the wall only the round control for adjusting the flow and heat.
no problem with gas supply,if the heating engineer has turned the thermostat down is it the white knob with the tap I turn up a little as there are 4 knobs,1 has radiator,1 has tap and other has selector for water alone or both last one gas, which I would not touch.Sorry to be a bit dumb but I never have had to touch these things before.
regards

The hot water thermostat will be the dial with the picture of a tap on it or near it. Try turning up a little, see if it helps.

sorry in being so long in getting back to you. There is no difference in temp. of the shower, the tap water is hotter and heating is fine no problem there.would it be the cartridge needing changing and if so can i do it myself.
