by barry diebelius » Wed Jan 16, 2008 2:56 pm

i have a problem with pumping over in the header tank. i cannot raise the tank any higher as it is already at the top of the rafters, the boiler and the pump are located in the loft as well.

Move the cold feeder pipe to a position closer to the expansion pipe (within a foot). The only reason you get an overflow or air sucked in is if there is a pressure differential between the two. Putting them closer removes the possibility of this occurring.
