Hi, new plaster can be quite thirsty, so it is probably worth 'sizing' the walls with a weak wallpaper mix first and letting this dry off for a while, this will help when papering by not drawing too much moisture out of the pasted paper and allow easy 'sliding' of the paper to align it up.
There are proprietary plaster sealers you could use, but sizing should do the trick.
