Microwave triggering RCD Unit

by kevinhobson2000 » Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:15 pm

Hi,

Every 3 - 4 week the microwave keeps triggering the RCD unit which cuts the power to the kitchen. I have had the company out who make the microwave and they did there tests and said they couldnt see anything wrong with the microwave. The microwave has been plugged in three seperate sockets and is still doing this. I believe the microwave is faulty as it is the only appliance in the kitchen that causes this.

Would you agree?

Any response appreciated.

Cheers

Kev

It can also be type of RCD all to do with DC injection and the internal electronics. Can you run Microwave from cooker outlet these often don't go though earth leakage trip.
